You will explore sustainability in local to global food systems, focusing on food origins and agriculture impacts in Saskatchewan. You will get a glimpse in to the business of agriculture, exploring the trends, technology and issues affecting agriculture and how this important sector in our province works to feed and support a growing world.

What Will I Learn?

You will gain a balanced and current view of today’s agricultural realities when you explore the independent, but interrelated industry segments that collectively move what’s in the field, or pasture, to our fork.

From operations and transportation to technology and communications, you will walk away with an understanding of how and why agriculture has such an impact on our economy and everyday lives.

With the support of your teacher, you will engage in experiential, hands-on activities to research and explore Canadian agriculture, as well as receive support with post-secondary scholarships. You will conclude your learning with a final project that allows yo to explore an area of interest in the agriculture sector.
