Drafting and Computer Aided Design 20 (Dual Credit with Sask Polytechnic)

Students will develop fundamental computer aided drafting (CAD) skills using industry-standard software, construct two-dimensional geometric construction, dimensioning and drawing output.

Drafting and CAD 20 (Dual Credit with Sask Polytechnic) will be recognized for program credit in the Civil (Water and Construction), Environmental, Electrical Engineering, EDDT, and Mining Engineering programs if admitted.

This course may or may not align with the K-12 school calendar, and instead, it might adhere to its own post-secondary calendar. For specific information about start dates, please refer to the respective post-secondary institution's website.

What Will I Learn?

Important: This course requires tuition to be paid by the student (explained below) as well as the possibility of extra fees for course resources (textbooks, etc).

Since this course is offered directly from Saskatchewan Polytechnic, and not Sask DLC, there is a different registration process.

  1. Students interested in registering for this course must read the course description and understand the fees associated with it by clicking the above link.

  2. If you intend on taking this course, it is important that you speak with your high school Career Guidance Counselor / Principal or Sask DLC Academic Advisor. They will assist you with the Sask DLC registration process to ensure your high school credit is properly awarded.

  3. Once we receive your registration information a Sask DLC teacher will contact you via email with instructions on registering directly with Sask Polytechic.

  4. Once the student registers and pays for the course with Sask Polytechic, they will send the student information (by email) with course access.

  5. Once the student has successfully completed the course, proof of completion will need to be provided to the Sask DLC liaison teacher to receive high school credit.

Sask Polytechnic's refund policy (subject to change at any moment):

  1. If a student unenrolls from a course within 14 days past the course start date the student will be refunded for the course EXCEPT for a $105 administration fee.

  2. If a student unenrolls from a course past 14 days past the course start date there will be no refund.
