Grades 1-6
Online Learning

Enjoy the flexibility of learning from home while receiving a high-quality, fully funded education for grades 1–6.

Certified Saskatchewan teachers provide instruction that aligns with Ministry of Education guidelines.

Your Choice In Learning

We understand that every student learns differently, which is why we offer two learning models for families to choose from:
• Synchronous Live Class: Your child will attend scheduled live class sessions with their teacher throughout the day.
• Asynchronous (flexible learning): You and your child can choose the daily learning schedule that works for you, while following a structured course timeline.

All online course materials are accessible anytime, anywhere, giving students the flexibility to complete their work within set deadlines while having the option to work ahead if they choose.

Our teachers provide one-on-one support, live instruction, and an individualized learning experience. Whether choosing Live Synchronous Classes or Asynchronous learning, students will benefit from a safe, structured and flexible online education in a supportive environment.

Learning Mentors

Parents and guardians are essential partners in their child’s learning journey at home, with opportunities to regularly connect with teachers through Teams calls, email and Parent Teacher Student Conferences.

Learning mentors can review student progress and grades at any time through our online course portal, DLCgo.

What Are Learning Mentors?

Parental involvement is especially critical in the early years, where guidance and hands-on support at home are essential for assisting with schoolwork and projects.

As students become more independent, the level of supervision gradually decreases. Throughout this process, Sask DLC provides ongoing support and resources to learning mentors.

What is the Time Commitment?

Our courses align with ministry outcomes for each grade, ensuring students meet essential learning goals.

The time required for each student varies based on factors such as maturity, independence, engagement and learning pace.

What Resources are Available?

We will provide the instructional resources you need for the school year, including Sask DLC teacher-created courses, along with books and materials to support your learning.

Families are responsible for purchasing their own school supplies.

What Technology is Required?

Students need access to a computer with a reliable internet connection.

Access to a headset or headphones, a camera and a printer can also be helpful.
