Drafting and Computer-Aided Design 10

You will learn basic terminology and concepts around computer aided-design and start creating basic mechanical drawings. This is an introductory course suited to those that love to design and engineer.

What Will I Learn?

You will explore dimensioning and how to measure and visually represent an object proportionately and to scale. With drafting software, you will apply that knowledge transforming a 3D object into a 2D object and vice versa.

You will also be introduced to career and post-secondary paths in the architectural design field.

You must have a Windows based computer capable of running both AutoCAD and REVIT. 30GB - 40GB of hard drive storage is required.

  • AutoCAD program (free download) - can be installed on a Windows computer or Mac

  • Revit program (free download) - can only be installed on a Windows computer

Reliable internet connection and device to submit course work, including speakers or headphones.
