Entrepreneurship 30 (Dual Credit with University of Regina)

This course provides an orientation to business and management concepts, and introduces business functional areas – marketing, finance, accounting, operations, human resources, strategy, and organizational behavior – the focus of future business classes. Further, the course covers key processes / topics such as the Canadian business environment, ethics, environmental scanning, risk, and decision-making.

This course may or may not align with the K-12 school calendar, and instead, it might adhere to its own post-secondary calendar. For specific information about start dates, please refer to the respective post-secondary institution's website.

  • This course follows the U of R schedule, which is not aligned with traditional high school schedule.

  • he HSXL Dual Credit Bursary Program is designed for Saskatchewan high school students to take a U of R course while still in high school - for free! Students will also have the option of obtaining an approved dual credit at the high school level.

    Eligible students may take any of the approved U of R courses and request through their main high school educator to obtain the corresponding high school course. To learn more

Sask DLC role vs U of R role

A Sask DLC teacher will serve as a liaison between the student/parent and the post-secondary institution.   

A U of R instructor will provide all instruction, clarify content, and conduct assessments.

Proctored Exams: Determined by the post secondary instructor

Registration Process

  1. If you intend on taking this course, it is important that you speak with your high school Career Guidance Counselor / Principal or Sask DLC Academic Advisor. They will assist you with the Sask DLC registration process to ensure your high school credit is properly awarded.

  2. Upon completion of the Sask DLC registration process, we will email you the necessary form to register with the U of R. This document will advise of all necessary U of R deadlines and fees.

Once your application is processed, the U of R will email notification to you and payment will be due immediately.   Your admission letter will provide the credentials needed to access your U of R student account where you can learn about outstanding fees and payment options.
