Work Placement Information

Sask DLC offers unique electives for students who want to explore an interest and gain real-life experiences through a work study placement. The work placement allows students to apply their knowledge and gain hands-on experience in the related industry.

Work Placement

10 level courses

10 level courses may offer full theory or work placement (25 hours) options

20 and 30 level courses

20 and 30 level courses require 50 hours of work placement

Local Division Policies

Please be familiar with your school division’s policies on age requirements, travel and attire.

Attire

Students must provide all appropriate workplace attire.

Age Requirement

According to provincial legislation 15-year-olds can only work in a shop while students 16-year-old and older can work on a job site.

To request these work placement courses, speak to your local principal, career guidance counsellor or academic advisor about how to register.
