Tourism 20 (theory with work placement)

Building upon the foundational knowledge of Tourism 10, Tourism 20 explores Canadian tourism in-depth, focusing on the five tourism sectors. Students will learn about quality customer service, event organization and community engagement while exploring career paths available in Saskatchewan's growing tourism industry.

Tourism 20 with work placement will be available in Semester 2.

What Will I Learn?

Students will explore the five key tourism industries of:

  • food and beverage

  • accommodation

  • recreation and entertainment

  • transportation

  • travel services

Tourism 20 consists of:

  • 50 hours of online theory

  • 50 hours of work placement coordinated by Sask DLC

All students, parents and mentors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with our work placement policy.

We will do our best to find a local work placement; however, we may not be able to accommodate placements in all situations, and/or some travel may be required.
