Designed to fit you or your family's lifestyle, we offer a flexible learning environment and a variety of both core and elective courses that follow Ministry of Education curricular outcomes and count toward your graduation requirements.

By choosing to become a full-time Sask DLC student and take all of your high school courses with us, we’ll help you build a pathway to graduation. We'll work with you to plan the classes you need to graduate in a schedule that works.

Your Choice In Learning

We understand that every student learns differently, which is why we offer two learning models for families to choose from:

Synchronous Live Class: Your child will attend scheduled live class sessions with their teacher throughout the day.

• Asynchronous (flexible learning): You and your child can choose the daily learning schedule that works for you, while following a structured course timeline.

Our teachers provide one-on-one support, live instruction, and an individualized learning experience. Whether choosing Synchronous Live Classes or Asynchronous learning, students will benefit from a safe, structured and flexible online education in a supportive environment.

How Does it Work?

Once enrolled as a full-time Sask DLC high school student, you'll be assigned an Academic Advisor who will help you select courses tailored to your learning style, academic background and future goals.

Once your registration is completed, you'll gain access to your online courses and can begin working. You have access to more than 150 courses, including core subjects, electives and practical and applied arts courses - some with work placement opportunities. All high school courses offered by Sask DLC count towards the course credit requirements for high school graduation in Saskatchewan.

Online learning provides structured flexibility, meaning you’ll follow teacher-created timelines and submit assignments on schedule. However, you have the option to work ahead and complete courses early. You can choose how many hours to dedicate each day, as long as you maintain steady progress.

Is there a cost?

There is no direct cost to families for students under the age of 22 taking online courses with Sask DLC.

School divisions in Saskatchewan are provided with provincial funding for students living in the area. Students and families have the option to study online and school divisions are invoiced directly. This ensures that provincial funding provided to the school division follows the student, wherever they choose to learn.

What is the time commitment?

On average, you'll spend four to six hours per day on your course work but the time you need varies depending on your maturity, ability to focus, degree of independence and your personal goals.

You are encouraged to complete your work within set timelines provided by your teacher while having the option to work ahead if you choose. Courses follow a traditional 180-day school calendar from September to June.

What supports are in place for me?

Our teachers provide personalized instruction and one-on-one support via phone, email, and video calls from Monday – Friday, 8:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Your Academic Advisor will take the time to understand your aspirations and the steps required to reach your goals. They will work with you to create a course schedule that aligns with your interests, personal objectives and graduation requirements. Additionally, they will provide access to a variety of scholarship information.
